The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the critical role of Service Manager: Broadband Service Level and Contract Management. This is a senior opportunity to shape the digital infrastructure of the province.

Are You the Ideal Candidate?

Requirements:

  • An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-degree).
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in ICT projects, of which 3 years must be in a management role.
  • Recommendation: Relevant working experience in connectivity or VOIP projects.
  • Key Competencies: Knowledge of Public Service regulations, project management, finance, and HR matters. Exceptional strategic planning, communication, report writing, and negotiation skills are essential.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Duties:

  • Line & Contract Management: Lead a team of professionals and manage service providers, ensuring high service levels and effective contract management for all broadband-related agreements.
  • Financial Management: Play an active role in budgeting, and assist in the efficient and effective control of the Directorate’s finances.
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and review the component’s objectives and priorities. Participate in strategic planning and the development of business plans for the Directorate.
  • Human Resource Management: Recruit, motivate, train, and guide staff to achieve excellence in service delivery. Actively manage performance and evaluation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with all spheres of government, national departments (e.g., SITA), private sector organisations, NGOs, and local municipalities.
