To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Office Management, Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in office management and administration within a Human Resource environment.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of applicable HR legislation and procedures.
- Strong planning, organising, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Good computer literacy, specifically in MS Word and Excel.
Your Key Responsibilities: The Duties
As the Administrative Assistant, you will be the backbone of the HR Directorate’s daily operations. Your duties will include:
- Managing the electronic diary, scheduling appointments, and ensuring compliance with legislative deadlines.
- Coordinating business travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Preparing documentation for meetings, arranging venues, and recording minutes.
- Typing correspondence, reports, and presentations from handwritten notes or proceedings.
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail, filing documents (both manual and electronic), and maintaining an efficient filing system.
- Performing general administrative tasks such as stock control of stationery, processing expense claims, and photocopying.
- Tracking and following up on documents requiring action or approval.
