The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Director: Translation and Editorial Services. Position Details:

- Salary: R468,459 – R551,823 per annum (The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement)
- Centre: National Office, Pretoria

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- An appropriate NQF level 6 qualification in Communication or Linguistics.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a translation services environment.
- Language Requirement: A major in IsiNdebele is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Public Service statutory frameworks (PSA, PFMA, Labour Relations Act, etc.).
- Understanding of the Code of Conduct and departmental policy administration.
Key Competencies: Strategic thinking, financial management, communication, project management, team leadership, computer literacy, and problem-solving.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Assistant Director, your key performance areas will include:
- Overseeing the translation function within the department.
- Editing translated bills to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Managing terminology development to maintain language standards.
- Managing human, financial, and other resources efficiently.
