This role is perfectly suited for a candidate ready to begin their professional engineering journey. The requirements are:
- A National Diploma in Engineering or a relevant qualification.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Special Note: No previous experience is required, making this an ideal graduate position.
- Must be registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Candidate Engineering Technician.
The ideal candidate will have skills or a keen interest in project management, engineering design, computer-aided applications, legal compliance, and possess strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
What You’ll Be Doing: Key Duties
In this role, you will work under supervision to provide crucial technical support. Your duties will include:
- Rendering technical services and support in engineering research, design, manufacturing, operations, and maintenance.
- Preparing and maintaining a Portfolio of Learning to manage your training process.
- Undertaking Research and Development tasks.
- Performing essential administrative functions.
- Strictly adhering to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.

- You MUST use the new Z83 application form (effective from 01 January 2021), obtainable from any Public Service Department or the DPSA website.
- An application on the incorrect Z83 form will be disqualified.
- The Z83 must be originally signed, dated, and accompanied by a detailed CV.
- Only shortlisted candidates will need to submit certified copies of qualifications (not older than six months).
- Do not submit faxed or photocopied application documents.
- Successful candidates will undergo Personnel Suitability Checks (criminal, citizenship, financial, qualification verification) and security clearance.
