Requirements
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) as recognised by SAQA in Financial Accounting, BCOM Accounting, or Internal Auditing.
Knowledge of:
- Analysing & Interpreting Information (Data Analytics)
- Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA), Basic Conditions of Employment Act, OHS Act, PFMA, and Public Service Regulations.
- Financial Risk Management and Control, and Departmental policies and procedures.
- An Inspector Appointment Certificate and Inspectors Card will be highly advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
- Employer Assessment and Auditing, Revision of Assessment.
- Analytical Thinking, Attention to Detail, and Business Acumen.
- Communication, Stakeholder Relations, and Team Orientation.
- Accountability, Ethics, and Governance.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting payroll audits on employers in terms of the COIDA.
- Investigating complaints regarding non-compliance with COIDA within prescribed time frames.
- Issuing enforcement notices to non-compliant employers.
- Preparing documents for the prosecution of defaulting employers.
- Compiling weekly statistics to report on performance.
