To be considered for this pivotal role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree (or higher equivalent qualification).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development and analysis.
Highly Recommended Experience:
Candidates with hands-on experience in the following will have a distinct advantage:
- Software Development (SDLC): Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX, Oracle Reports, Microsoft .NET.
- Microsoft Power BI and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of Systems Analysis and Design principles.
- Web Development experience.
- A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. Note: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but have reasonable access to transport are also encouraged to apply.
Key Competencies:
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of IT systems, technical standards, project management, and financial management. Crucial skills include:
- Excellent planning and organising abilities.
- Expertise across the full software development spectrum.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound decision-making capabilities.
Your Key Responsibilities (Duties)
As the Chief Analyst Developer, your role will be both managerial and technical, including:
- Team Leadership: Planning, organising, and controlling the activities of staff responsible for application development and systems analysis. This includes ensuring team competency through training.
- Systems Analysis: Developing detailed functional and technical specifications to meet client business needs.
- Software Development: Constructing and implementing robust application programs.
- Quality Control: Ensuring all technical and functional standards are strictly observed throughout the development lifecycle.
- Documentation & Liaison: Preparing comprehensive system documentation, including training manuals, and maintaining strong liaison with clients.
