Who Should Apply? The Requirements
To be considered for this rewarding position, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Essential: A Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification) and a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience.
- Recommendations: A Community Development Learnership Certificate and a valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

Key Competencies and Knowledge:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of relevant public service policies, legislation, and best practices.

- Strong project organisation, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
- Proven computer literacy in MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Community Development Worker, your duties will be central to monitoring and enhancing municipal performance. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive municipal monitoring tool.
- Collecting, validating, and evaluating municipal data and information related to performance.
- Ensuring the development of a database and disseminating information to relevant stakeholders.
- Drafting the annual municipal performance report in accordance with the Municipal Systems Act.
- Assisting with the management of human resources and performance within the sub-directorate.
