Who Should Apply? The Requirements
To be considered for this rewarding position, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Essential: A Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification).
- Experience: A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience.
- Recommendations (Advantageous):
- A Community Development Learnership Certificate.
- A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

Key Competencies and Knowledge:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of relevant public service policies, legislation, and best practices.
- An understanding of the composition and functioning of communities in the Western Cape.
- Skills in facilitating public participation in policy-making and service delivery.
- Strong project organisation, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
- Proven computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A proactive approach to self-management and adherence to deadlines.
Your Key Responsibilities: The Duties
In this role, you will be at the forefront of monitoring and supporting municipal performance. Your duties will include:
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive municipal monitoring tool.
- Collecting, validating, and evaluating municipal data and information related to performance.
- Ensuring the development of a database and disseminating crucial information to relevant stakeholders.
- Drafting the annual municipal performance report as required by the Municipal Systems Act.
- Assisting with the management of human resources and performance within the sub-directorate.
