- Salary: R896,436 – R1,055,958 per annum (all-inclusive remuneration package). A performance agreement is required.

Are You the Right Fit? Key Requirements:
To be considered for this prestigious role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications: An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a BCom in Finance, as recognized by SAQA.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience at a managerial (Assistant Director) level within an internal control environment.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, and financial provisioning/administration procedures.
- Skills: The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong competencies in strategic thinking, financial management, communication, project management, team leadership, and computer literacy.
Your Key Responsibilities:
As the Deputy Director, your duties will be vital to ensuring financial integrity and compliance. Key performance areas include:
- Producing management reports on unauthorized, irregular, and fruitless/wasteful expenditure.
- Conducting pre- and post-reviews of financial transactions to detect non-compliance.
- Determining and confirming instances of irregular expenditure.
- Verifying recommendations from Legal Services and monitoring their implementation.
- Preparing disclosure notes for the annual financial statements.
- Managing human, financial, and other resources within the unit.
