- Education: A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Finance, Financial Management, Management Accounting, or Auditing.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience at a supervisory or management level.
- Knowledge: A strong grasp of departmental policies, project management, strategic management, and Treasury Regulations.
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, facilitation, analytical, and communication skills. You must be innovative, able to work under pressure, and analyse budgets effectively.
- Licence: A valid driver’s licence is mandatory.
Your Key Responsibilities
As the Deputy Director, you will be the right hand to the CFO, entrusted with a diverse and critical set of duties:
- Manage the flow of correspondence, compile reports, act as a secretary in meetings, and oversee the budget for the CFO’s office.
- Coordinate the compilation of annual financial estimates and assist in developing strategic plans.
- Ensure strict compliance with all legal frameworks and departmental policies.
- Uphold the highest level of confidentiality and promote a positive image of the CFO’s office.
- Coordinate submissions to oversight bodies and play a key role in preparing for and reconciling audit information.
