These senior management service (SMS) positions are critical for driving excellence in the Community Education and Training (CET) sector across South Africa.

Who Should Apply? Ideal Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:
- An appropriate Bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Education or a related field.
- A relevant postgraduate degree (NQF 8) will be a distinct advantage.
- 5-10 years of experience within the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) sector.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience at a middle or senior managerial level.
- Proven management experience in CET or TVET environments is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of the legal frameworks governing the CET sector.
- Exceptional skills in project management, financial management, strategic planning, and report writing.
- Computer literacy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively are essential.

Your Key Responsibilities
As a Director, you will be at the helm of educational development and support in your region. Your duties will include:
- Providing strategic leadership and management for institutional governance and planning.
- Driving curriculum development, lecturer development, and support programs.
- Managing and enhancing teaching, learning, examinations, and assessments.
- Overseeing monitoring and evaluation functions to ensure program effectiveness.
- Building strategic partnerships with industry, SETAs, and other government institutions.
- Managing the unit’s administrative and financial responsibilities, including budgets and recruitment.
- Ensuring strict compliance with Public Service Regulations and labour relations matters.
