Remuneration Package
This position offers a lucrative salary package within Grade A: R721,476 – R774,267 per annum, in accordance with the Occupation Specific Dispensation (OSD) as prescribed. This competitive package reflects the importance and seniority of the role.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following essential criteria:
- An appropriate Degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification Quantity Surveying experience.
- Compulsory registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) as a Professional Quantity Surveyor.
- A valid code B (or higher) driving license.
Key Competencies and Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical knowledge and soft skills, including:
- Knowledge of: Programme and project management, Quantity Surveying principles and methodologies, legal compliance, and technical report writing.
- Skills in: Team leadership, financial management, decision-making, problem-solving, people management, and change management.
- Proven computer literacy and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Performance Areas (Duties)
The successful candidate will be entrusted with a range of critical responsibilities, including:
- Performing and coordinating all quantity surveying activities on health infrastructure buildings and facilities.
- Leading professional teams and ensuring adherence to quantity determination standards and cost evaluation.
- Developing quantity surveying-related policies, methods, and practices.
- Mentoring, training, and developing candidate quantity surveyors and technical personnel.
- Managing office administration, budget planning, and resource utilisation.
- Ensuring continuous professional development and staying abreast of research in the field.
