Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this prestigious position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A National Diploma (NQF 6) in Risk Management, Safety and Security Management, or a Social Science field.
- A minimum of 3 years of investigation experience.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Extensive knowledge of:
- Departmental policies, the MISS document, and record management.
- Security risks and vetting procedures.
- Relevant Vetting legislation and Acts.
- A strong skill set in problem-solving, analysis, decision-making, communication, and project management.
- Proficiency in interviewing, conflict management, and computer applications.
Note: Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo practical exercises and integrity assessments.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following duties:
- Conduct thorough vetting field-work investigations.
- Provide valuable inputs for developing and implementing vetting policies, guidelines, and standards.
- Maintain effective communication channels with the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and other related agencies.
- Administer vetting files and participate in task teams for vetting projects.
- Perform essential managerial activities within the unit.
