Who Should Apply? Essential Requirements
To be considered for this prestigious role, you must meet the following criteria:
- A National Diploma in Engineering or a relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification technical experience.
- Current compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician.
- A valid driver’s license.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven experience in a Constructive/Mechanical engineering field.
- Proficiency in compiling and presenting technical reports in English.
- Demonstrated ability to produce original, creative design work.
- Strong skills in MS Office, CAD/Caddie, and other design software.
- Essential design, implementation, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and draft Engineering drawings.
Advantageous: Knowledge of ship structures, Class/IMO rules, and writing specifications.
Your Role Onboard: Key Duties
As an Engineering Technician, your responsibilities will be vital to the fleet’s operational readiness. Your duties will include:
- Executing system and subsystem advice and defects analysis services.
- Developing and executing integrated concepts and detailed designs.
- Overseeing acceptance and trials services for engineering projects.
- Executing project and task management services.
