Do You Have What It Takes? Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Appropriate administrative and data capturing experience. Experience with health systems like Sinjani, Tier.net, and PHCIS is highly advantageous.
- Driver’s License: A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license and a willingness to drive is an inherent requirement of the job.
- Flexibility: Willingness to rotate within the Mossel Bay Sub-District as needed by the service.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. You must be computer literate (Windows, Excel). A course in the Basic Routine Health Information System for Data Capturers will be a distinct advantage.
Your Key Responsibilities: Duties
As the Administration Clerk, your duties will be vital to the smooth operation of the admissions process. You will be responsible for:
- Accurately capturing all patient data into various system programs, including Tier.net, Sinjani, PHCIS, and Healthnet.
- Compiling data and generating reports for allocated service points.
- Performing key administration functions and managing all components of the reception area.
- Registering patients on the Patient Administration System (PHCIS) and managing Healthnet bookings.
- Maintaining folder hygiene in reception—this includes filing, retrieving, archiving, and disposing of patient folders.
