Salary: R376,413 per annum

Key Requirements
To be considered for this leadership position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Food Service Management or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Appropriate experience in a large-scale Hospital Food Service environment is essential, along with proven management and supervisory experience.
- Inherent Job Requirements: Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Willingness to be on standby is also required.
- Key Competencies and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures in an industrial Food Service Unit.
- Strong computer literacy, specifically the ability to create spreadsheets, word documents, and presentations in Microsoft Office.
- Proven skills in managing the operations of an industrial Food Service Unit.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and time management abilities.
- Sound numerical skills.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following duties:
- Plan and develop the strategic management of the Hospital’s Food Services Unit.
- Manage the day-to-day operational activities of the Food Service Unit to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Identify and manage risks within the unit to maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
- Oversee all Human Resource management matters for the catering team.
- Manage all financial aspects related to the Food Services Unit, ensuring budgetary compliance.
