To be considered for this senior role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or Degree in a Human Resource-related field.
- Experience: Relevant experience in:
- HR Planning, Establishment Administration, and Recruitment & Selection.
- Performance Management systems.
- A supervisory or managerial position is essential.
- Essential Requirements:
- A valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB/C1).
- Willingness to travel and work after hours when necessary.
- Key Competencies and Skills:
- Sound knowledge of governmental HR policies and legislation.
- Strong supervisory, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent numerical, conflict management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to function effectively under pressure.
Your Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Director, you will be entrusted with a diverse and critical set of duties:
- Provide effective management and training for HR Planning, Establishment Control, Recruitment and Selection, and Compensation management across the district.
- Oversee the implementation and management of the Staff Performance Management System.
- Offer expert support and guidance to institutions within the district on all HR Planning processes.
- Manage the staff establishment, including the creation/abolishment of posts and maintaining the Approved Post List.
- Investigate and resolve grievances or disputes related to recruitment, selection, and performance management.
- Act as the central point for integrated HR information reporting and contribute to the District Health Plan.
- Lead, manage, and develop your team of subordinates effectively.
